Breathe Awarness | Meditation Foundations |
/Beginners and even advance meditators always need to strengthen their meditation practice through the foundations of breath and concentration. It is easy to get lost in the mind of tangled thoughts, emotions, and sensations if we do not first build a strong anchor.
This anchor is your breathe. The practice begins there.
I, for a long time, was lost in my practice. Constantly, dragged along by my tangle of thoughts, images, and sensations that had built up in my mind overtime. It was loud, chaotic, and evermore overwhelming to be inside and with my own mind each day.
The breath is your anchor point. It is a tool for developing concentration as you progress in your meditation and mindfulness practices as well as space to pause and respond to life through compassion rather than reactivity.
If you find the concentration on the breath creates a feeling of losing your breath I recommend starting first with my pebble meditation.
